POP-UP ART EVENT

Wrap Up

It’s been an amazing year for Pop-Up Art Event! As we near the end of 2015, we would like to take a few moments to reflect on some of our recent pop-ups and thank you for joining us for these collaborative experiences.

COLIN RUEL: HUNTING IN THE FIELD

In June, we joined Housing Works to help fund their Art Therapy Program for the next year with an auction on Paddle8. The auction featured works by prominent artists displayed alongside ones created by members of the Art Therapy Program, an important part of Housing Works’ mission to #EndAIDSNY2020. The auction featured over 40 works and raised over $10,000.

Throughout the year- we were able to share complimentary VIP passes to our partner events that were part of the ARMORY WEEK and ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH + HONG KONG, LVMH and MBFW among others. In September, we began our Pop Up Dinner series, where we gathered for an evening of grassroots support for the arts, networking, and a delicious selection of soups and other food.

In October, we collaborated with Vin Social, RARA, and Uhuru to host Local Harvest, which featured wine, food, and art inspired by the fall season and the concept of sustainability.

In November, we organized a free screening of the short film “Ellis,” directed by JR and starring Robert De Niro, in partnership with the collaborative membership space INTERFACE and SOUND OFF EXPERIENCE. The night was also made special with a poetry reading by Herina Ayot, an interactive art display, and discussions inspired by the film
